Morocco’s Council of Government, meeting on Wednesday in Rabat, approved proposals for appointments to senior positions, in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution.
Mustapha Baytas, Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesperson, told a press conference following the Council’s meeting that Badia El Karoui was appointed as Director of Strategy, Forecasting, Monitoring and Cooperation at the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development (Energy Transition Sector).
For the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Ismail Basri has been appointed to the position of Director of Simplification of Procedures and Digitisation of Administration, Baytas added.
These appointments come as part of the Moroccan government’s efforts to strengthen competencies in senior positions and develop the performance of government sectors, especially in the areas of energy transition and digital transformation, two of the Kingdom’s strategic priorities.
The move reflects the government’s commitment to implementing development plans and modernising the public administration, which contributes to improving the services provided to citizens and promoting sustainable development in Morocco.
