Mustapha Baytas, the government’s spokesperson, commented on the deaths and disappearances of Moroccan pilgrims during the Hajj season at a press conference following the end of the government council on Thursday.
The spokesman explained that he does not have specific data on this matter, and that it was not discussed at the government meeting.
Baytas said: “I do not have data on this issue and it was not discussed during the government meeting,” he said, adding that the competent authorities are responsible for providing details and correct information about these cases.
It is worth mentioning that a large number of deaths and disappearances have been recorded among pilgrims during the current Hajj season.
