The Council of Government, chaired by Aziz Akhannouch, held a meeting on Thursday to discuss a number of draft legal texts and proposals for appointments to senior positions in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.
During this meeting, the Council approved draft decree No. 2.23.920 implementing Law No. 37.21 enacting special measures related to the direct marketing of fruits and vegetables produced within the framework of agricultural clustering, presented by Mohamed Seddiqi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forestry.
This project comes in implementation of the provisions of Law 37.21, in particular those related to determining the modalities of granting, renewing and withdrawing the license stipulated in Article 1, which is issued to the concerned group for the direct marketing of fruits and vegetables produced within the framework of agricultural aggregation, without the obligation to pass through wholesale markets.
This project aims to organize the direct marketing of fruits and vegetables produced within the framework of agricultural aggregation, by
Defining the conditions for granting, renewing and withdrawing licenses for agricultural complexes wishing to market their products directly.
Establishing a technical committee at the governmental authority in charge of agriculture, which is responsible for expressing its opinion on applications for granting and renewing the aforementioned license, as well as withdrawing it.
The creation of a regional committee with the regional director of agriculture whose territorial jurisdiction includes the valorization unit around which the agricultural cluster project concerned by the license is located, to monitor compliance with the conditions on the basis of which the license was granted and the terms of the corresponding book of responsibilities.
This project will contribute to improving the marketing of agricultural products, increasing farmers’ income, and enhancing the added value of national agricultural products.
