The General Directorate of Meteorology has warned of strong winds expected in a number of regions of the Kingdom, on Friday and Saturday, accompanied by dust.
The directorate explained, in a warning bulletin of “orange” alert level, that strong wind gusts of 75 to 85 kilometers per hour will be witnessed in the provinces of Ouarzazate, Zagora, Tata, Tangier and Rachidia, starting from 5 pm on Friday until 4 am the day after Saturday.
The same source stated that strong wind gusts of 80 to 90 kilometers per hour will also affect the provinces of Midelt, Taourirt, Gersif, Boulman, Tangier, Zagora, Rachidia, Fejrij, Berkane, Jarada and Oujda-Angad on Saturday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
The directorate alerted citizens to the need to take care and caution against the dangers of this phenomenon, especially with regard to its impact on the safety of property and various activities.
