Three people have died and 18 others have been placed under medical observation after suffering from alcohol poisoning after consuming unfit for consumption in the Sidi Allal El Tazi community in Kenitra region, local authorities announced today.
According to the authorities, the investigations carried out by the Royal Gendarmerie after the incident led to the identification of the suspects involved in this case. Two persons, aged 41 and 21, were arrested and placed under medical observation at the regional hospital in Kenitra, pending the stabilization of their health condition, before being subjected to judicial investigation procedures.
According to the same source, the two are suspected of being involved in the manufacture and sale of alcoholic substances harmful to public health, which led to the death of 3 people and the poisoning of 18 others.
Intensive investigations are currently ongoing under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, in order to uncover all the circumstances, circumstances and backgrounds of this case, determine the relationship between the recorded deaths and the alcoholic substances consumed, and arrest all those allegedly involved in committing these criminal acts.
The local authorities call on citizens to exercise caution against buying and consuming alcoholic beverages from unknown sources, in order to preserve their safety and public health.
