The General Directorate of National Security (GDNS) was crowned on Friday with the “Riyada” e-Government Award in the category of the best information registry of public data at the national level, during the closing activities of the second edition of the GITEX Africa Morocco 2024 exhibition held in Marrakech.
The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) was recognized for its electronic presentation of the “digital data registry system for the national electronic identification card and its associated digital identity, as well as the residence card registry for foreigners.”
This award recognizes the leadership and excellence of the digital registry of demographic data managed by the Directorate, which was recently enhanced with the digital identity system that provides identification services in the digital space, in order to facilitate and optimize remote transactions.
In 2019, the General Directorate of National Security launched the second generation of the national electronic identification card linked to the digital identity system. This identification system is characterized by a new package of technological innovations and technical capabilities that enable citizens to access various public and private services and identify themselves either directly or remotely using cyberspace.
This award confirms the commitment of the DGSN to develop and enhance its e-services, in line with the vision of the Kingdom of Morocco to establish a modern and effective e-government.
This award is an incentive for the Directorate to continue its efforts in this field, and to provide more quality and efficient services to citizens and residents of Morocco.
