On Tuesday, May 28, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance Abdellatif Hammouchi welcomed and bid farewell to the members of the National Security and Territorial Surveillance family heading to the Holy Land to perform this year’s Hajj pilgrimage before they left for Saudi Arabia.
The number of pilgrims benefiting from the National Security ranks this year amounted to 230 beneficiaries, who received full coverage, compared to 168 beneficiaries last year, while the number of beneficiaries of partial coverage of Hajj expenses amounted to 135 compared to 127 last year.
The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance also provided a financial grant in the form of exceptional support to all beneficiaries, to enable them to perform the fifth pillar of Islam and perform all religious rites and rites in the best conditions.
The beneficiaries of the Hajj pilgrimage include active and retired employees of the DGSN and DST, as well as beneficiaries and beneficiaries of the rights of the national security family.
In his speech on this occasion, Abdellatif Hammouchi emphasized “the great importance he attaches to expanding the circle of Hajj beneficiaries within the ranks of the National Security Agency, guided by a strong desire to support the spiritual security and social well-being of police officers and employees.”
He went on to emphasize “the keenness of the General Directorate of National Security and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance during the past years to double the number of beneficiaries of the comprehensive coverage of Hajj expenses and expand the number of beneficiaries of the partial coverage, in order to allow the largest possible number of male and female employees to perform the fifth pillar of Islam.”
The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance concluded his speech by praying to Almighty God to make the pilgrimage of the members of the security family acceptable and their endeavors praiseworthy, urging them to support each other and be the best ambassadors for Morocco in the Holy Land, stressing that he “gave the necessary directives to the Mohammed VI Foundation for Social Works for National Security Employees to provide all appropriate conditions to help pilgrims perform the Hajj rites in the best way.”
It is worth mentioning that the pole of the General Directorate of National Security and Territorial Surveillance has assigned special importance to the issue of Hajj within the system of social services provided to the national security family, where the number of beneficiaries has gradually and progressively increased in recent years, based on the premise that strengthening spiritual security is part of the social work rehabilitation program offered to the members of the National Security Authority.
