Warning of a strong heat wave sweeping many regions of Morocco

Rabat, Morocco: The General Directorate of Meteorology warned on Monday of a strong heat wave that will affect many regions of the Kingdom, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, and continuing until Thursday.

Significant rise in temperatures:

The directorate predicted that temperatures will range between 37 and 42 degrees centigrade in a number of areas.

The most affected areas:

Tuesday:

Zagora, Tata, Qalaat El Saraghna, Beni Mellal, Faqih Ben Saleh, Rachidia.
Chefchaouen

Wednesday and Thursday:

Beni Mellal, Faqih Bensalah, Meknes, Hajeb, Rachidia, Khenifra, Fez, Sefrou, Moulay Yacoub, Azilal, Zan, Khemisset, Taza, Tata, Zagora, Kenitra, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Sulayman, Khouribga, Setat, Houz, Qalaat Sraghna, Marrakech, Taounate, Larache and Chefchaouen.

Tips for citizens:

Drink plenty of water.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight for long periods of time.
Wear light and loose clothing.
Pay attention to the elderly and children.
