Thanks to close cooperation with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, the National Security of Agadir succeeded on Sunday in dismantling a criminal network specialized in trafficking smuggled electronic devices used to cheat in exams.

The security operation, based on accurate information, led to the arrest of four people between the ages of 20 and 25. The first suspect was arrested at the level of the road station in Agadir, in possession of a large quantity of smuggled electronic equipment for cheating, including 200 wireless microphones, 100 transceivers, 10 pens with SIM cards and earphones, as well as 280 small batteries, 200 charging cables and cell phones.

Thanks to thorough investigations, security officers were able to identify and arrest the rest of the network members in the Huda neighborhood of Agadir, where they were waiting to receive the seized electronic equipment.

The four arrested suspects were subjected to investigation by the National Security Services under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, in order to uncover all the circumstances of this case, as well as identify all the criminal acts attributed to those concerned.

This operation comes within the framework of the continuous efforts made by the General Directorate of National Security and Territorial Surveillance to ensure the organization and conduct of school exams in fair and impartial conditions, by combating the circulation and use of means and equipment used in cheating operations, which threaten the integrity of the education and training system and hinder students’ path towards success and excellence.
