Cairo, Egypt – May 23, 2024 – Morocco’s amputee football team has achieved a remarkable feat by qualifying for the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers for the World Cup. This comes after their thrilling 4-2 victory over hosts Egypt in an exciting match that witnessed dramatic events.
Moroccan Dominance and Early Lead
Morocco took control of the match from the start, opening the scoring early through a goal from veteran Mohcine Chagag in the 15th minute. The “Atlas Lions” continued their pressure on Egypt’s goal, and they were able to double their lead with a second goal from Ilyas Sebai in the 28th minute.
