Council of Government to Convene on Thursday to Discuss Bills, Agreements, and Appointments

The Moroccan Council of Government will hold a meeting next Thursday, chaired by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of State in charge of the government.

At the beginning of its work, the Council will examine three draft decrees. The first concerns the amendment and completion of the decree for the application of the Customs and Indirect Taxes Code relating to the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration.

The second draft decree concerns the restructuring of the Center for Guidance and Educational Planning, while the third text modifies and completes the decree on the reorganization of the Training Center for Education Inspectors, according to the statement.

Then, the Council will examine an agreement between the Government of Morocco and the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) on the facilities and privileges granted to the North Africa Regional Directorate and the AUF National Office in Morocco, signed on September 7, 2022 in Rabat, in addition to a draft law approving the said agreement.

Finally, the Council will conclude its work by examining proposals for appointments to senior positions in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.
