On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, Dr. Salima Saassa, Regional Director of Health and Social Protection in Fes Meknes, chaired a coordination meeting at the Directorate’s meeting room, in the presence of health sector officials in the region.
The meeting aimed at assessing the course of Operation “Care” for the year 2023-2024, which was highly praised by the Minister of Health and Social Protection, and presented the outlines of the national campaign to promote balanced nutrition during the first 1000 days of a child’s life.
The meeting was attended by heads of departments and units at the regional directorate, health and social protection delegates at the level of the region’s prefectures and regions, heads of networks of health institutions in the regions concerned with care operations, and regional coordinators of care operations.
The meeting opened with a welcoming speech by Dr. Saassa, who praised the efforts of all workers in the health sector in the region, stressing the importance of cooperation and collaboration to achieve the desired goals.
The meeting reviewed the various aspects of Operation Care and assessed the results achieved, which were welcomed by the Minister of Health and Social Protection. The meeting also touched on the challenges faced by the operation and developed plans to address them in the future.
The outline of the national campaign to promote balanced nutrition during the first 1000 days of a child’s life, which aims to improve children’s health and reduce malnutrition rates, was also presented.
The meeting witnessed an extensive discussion on the points on the agenda, with all attendees expressing their full commitment to exert more efforts to achieve the desired goals.
Dr. Saassa reiterated her thanks and appreciation to all participants, stressing the importance of teamwork to achieve the ministry’s set goals. She also urged everyone to exert more efforts to implement various health programs, in line with the high royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, and in response to the aspirations of citizens.
