As part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and distribution, the judicial police in Kenitra and Tangier managed to apprehend five individuals, including a woman and two individuals wanted nationwide, on suspicion of involvement in the distribution of hallucinogenic pills.
According to available information, two individuals were arrested while preparing to travel aboard a bus bound for the city of Meknes. The search operation led to the discovery of 835 ecstasy and Rivotril pills in their possession. Additionally, three individuals, including a woman, were arrested immediately upon arrival in a light vehicle from one of the cities in the north of the kingdom.
They were found in possession of 2400 Rivotril pills, along with a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from this criminal activity.
The suspects were subjected to judicial procedures under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor’s offices. Investigations aim to uncover all circumstances and details of these cases, as well as to identify all criminal actions attributed to those involved.
These operations reaffirm the General Directorate of National Security’s determination to firmly combat drug trafficking and distribution, ensuring the health and safety of citizens, especially young people.
