The Kingdom of Morocco, whose Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, chairs the Al-Quds Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the storming of the courtyards of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by some extremists and their followers and their provocative practices that violate its sanctity.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans residing abroad stated that the Kingdom affirms its rejection of any measures that undermine the legal and historical status of the city of Jerusalem and its holy sites, including the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, or impose any restrictions on the entry of worshipers into it, stressing the need to preserve its cultural and Islamic character, and avoid all Forms of escalation and provocation.
The Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty, Chairman of the Jerusalem Committee, reaffirms, the same source adds, that establishing a just and comprehensive peace and consolidating sustainable stability in the region remains dependent on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and within the framework of the two-state solution.
