The Ministry of Health has published a new list of medicines whose prices will fall. The subject of a decision by the Ministry of Health, published in the Official Bulletin of April 8, 2024, this reduction concerned a list of ten medicines, whose sale prices to the public, which were in force, ranged from 80 dirhams at 47,525 dirhams.
Thus, Tecentriq 1200 mg/20 ml (the price of which was lowered from 47,524 dirhams to 40,180 dirhams) and Keytruda 100 mg/4 ml (from 33,697 dirhams to 29,364 dirhams), which are both concentrates for drug infusion indicated for cancer.
Also Synagis, treatment indicated for the prevention of respiratory infections, experienced drops of 1,321 dirhams (Synagis 100 mg/1 ml solution for injection vial of 1 ml) and 1,202 dirhams (50 mg/0.5 ml solution for injection vial of 0, 5ml).
Note that the decision of the supervisory ministry to reduce the prices of medicines is part of the implementation of the national pharmaceutical policy and comes in accordance with the provisions of decree 2.13.852, published on December 19, 2013 relating to conditions and modalities for setting the prices of medicines, with the aim of facilitating citizens’ access to medicines and reducing medical coverage expenses.
