The Moroccan sports arena is witnessing tension between the Royal Moroccan Swimming Federation and the Sonargis company, responsible for managing sports facilities, following the company’s overstepping of its jurisdiction by entering the field of swimming education.
According to a source from Fes News, Sonargis company sought instructors to register those interested in learning to swim in the pools it manages, a move considered by the Royal Moroccan Swimming Federation as exceeding its jurisdiction and encroaching on its authority.
This dispute has led to the postponement of all swimming-related activities of the swimming federation, including national and international championships, pending the opening of serious dialogue between the parties to find a consensus solution that ensures respect for the jurisdiction of each party.
