Environmental Association in Fes Files Complaint Over Animal Cruelty Incident

An environmental association in Fes has filed an official complaint with the Public Prosecutor at the city’s Court of First Instance against an individual accused of detaining and killing dogs under the association’s care in an abandoned slaughterhouse. The association condemned these actions, stating they violate laws protecting animal rights and welfare.

The association explained that the dogs were under its supervision and care in accordance with legal provisions, emphasizing that these acts constitute a breach of national laws, including those pertaining to animal welfare and regulations for managing stray dogs.

The association has urged judicial authorities to take the necessary measures to protect its rights and those of the animals, holding those responsible accountable for what it described as an unlawful act. It also called for the enforcement of laws aimed at safeguarding animals and ensuring humane treatment for them.
